Education is the basic fundamental right of an Indian citizen. Due to vested interests, the reservations for backward classes in PG & medical seats is not properly implemented by center claims Backward Classes Development & Leadership President Dundra Kumara Swamy. The judgement given by supreme court is also not followed by State & central goverment. My OBC students are not getting seats in PG & Medical due non implementation of OBC reservations.Speaking to media Kumara swamy urged governments to allot seats to OBC candidates by non considering Open categories candidates. The government should take immediate measures to support OBC Candidates.

Every year, by ignoring 27% reservation in All India Quota for OBC students in admission to UG and PG courses, nearly 3000 seats were denied to them. In 2018-19 alone OBC students have lost 1108 MBBS / BDS seats and 1978 seats in PG medicine (MD/MS/MDS) due to non-implementation of OBC reservations in the national pool. But the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has taken all seriousness to send directives vide order dated 21st June 2019, to all States/UTs for implementation of 10% reservation to EWS for this current year 2019-20 itself, based on the 103rd Constitutional amendment Act.
This gross social injustice and violation of constitutional provisions ignoring 27% reservation to OBC were pointed out to the Health Ministry as well as to Hon’ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The matter was also raised by Hon’ble Members of Parliament but no steps have been taken by the Ministry to rectify and implement 27% reservation to OBCs in All India Quota seats. He demanded an immediate probe and implement OBC reservations.
